Gallery : Time Element in Painting
The painter Mihai Tarus presents the concept Time Element in Painting. This conception has been elaborated in 1999, based on the analysis of painter’s works executed in various periods from 1972 to 1998, analysis which led to the synthesis of a distinct concept. The object of this analysis was the cultural context, including the plastic discourse of Paul Cezanne, implicitly the cubism of Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, the suprematism of Kazimir Malevich, Zor Ved - the theory and practice of the extensive vision of Mihail Matiushin and the Cup-Dome system of Vladimir Sterligov.

The concept Time Element in Painting adds movement to the plastic phenomenon, to the plastic image, presenting the form in its natural transformation – appearance, display and disappearance. This concept has been materialized and displayed in three personal exhibitions in Chisinau: Time Element in Painting, 1999, National Museum of Fine Arts; Signs, 2001, at the Galleries Constantin Brancusi; Codification-Signs, 2003, at the Galleries Constantin Brancusi.

A catalogue – Mihai Tarus – painting/object - summarizing the ideas of this project, was published in Chisinau in 2001.
